First and foremost all members of the guild should be kind and courteous to fellow guild members, we are a community of gamers all here for the same purpose. You may not agree with everything someone says and that's okay, just show respect.
Raiding Rules
Raid Times: Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday 5pm - 8pm Server (PST).
Expectations
Questions You May Ask
Q: Will attendance be tracked and what level of attendance should be shown?
A: Attendance will be tracked and all raiders must show an attendance level of at least 90% to continue raiding. If you cannot make it a raid please use the forums to notify the officers AHEAD OF TIME that you will not be able to make it.
Q: Will we ever go beyond the usual finish time for a raid night?
A: We will try and stick to our allocated time slot as best as possible, depending on our progression we may go slightly beyond that time.
Q: How will you check who's available for a given night, and how will the team be picked?
A: Each raid the guild will run will be posted on the in-game calendar, show your attendance there. The team will be picked based on who signs up on the calendar.
Q: How will you contact people if there's a last minute change in plan?
A: All members should be checking our forums daily for announcements and changes. It is the easiest way for us to get our message out and guarantee that everyone will see it.
Q: What is our policy on bringing alts into raid?
A: If it is a farm night that, alts are okay to bring along
Q: What is our policy on switching mains?
A: Raiders will be recruited based off what the guild needs, so expect to keep your class as your main. That being said, things change and others will be recruited. If the time is right and you want to make a switch talk to an officer in game or on the website and we can discuss it further.
Q: Are flask, potions and food required during raid?
A: Yes. Prior to a fight every member should be well fed and a flask used. The guild will be providing that for it's members. During the initial phases of the guild please bring your own flasks just in case there is not enough to go around, but we work around the clock to stock the guild bank.
Q: How will loot be distributed?
A: Aurora will be using a loot council which will consist of 5 officers and it will be distributed based on performance, attendance, item you are replacing vs. best in slot and guild rank. ** For more information regarding loot distribution see the "Loot Distribution" section **
Q: What will happen with the loot that nobody needs?
A: BoE items will be sold at the AH to cover guild repairs, BoP's will be disenchanted and the mats will be placed in the Guild Bank. This includes patterns and recipes and crafting materials.
Q: Do we reset every week? If not, when do we extend?
A: Raid resets will occur every week, we will not be extending a lockout.
Q: Will boss fights be logged, and if so will they be private or public?
A: Fights will be logged privately.
Q: Do you have a policy about PvP gear?
A: None, as long as it is better gear than what you are currently wearing there is no problem.
Q: Do you require raiders to independently run lower difficulty levels (e.g. LFR) for gear?
A: If it will give you better gear than what you have equipped, yes.
Q: What will you do when a raider doesn’t meet one of these requirements?
A: An officer will approach them and see what is going on and try to fix it. But coming into the guild this is a question that will be asked on the Recruitment Application.
Loot Distribution
We will handle all loot distribution through a Loot Council made up of 5 officers using the rules below:
Loot that isn't needed by anyone in group will be handled differently for BOP to BOE.
1. BOE - Unused BOE drops will be sold on the AH and the profits will be deposited into the guild bank for repairs.
2. BOP - Unused BOP drops will be DE'd and mats will be deposited into the guild bank.
Take your time to read these rules and regulations thoroughly and make sure you are willing to abide by all of them. Thank you.
